Munifa Canterbury

Now in her second season, Munifa has a love for bodywork that shows in her work here at MOTB.

Originally coming from a background as a professional karate instructor, competitor and coach with her provincial and South African colours, Munifa has competed at the World championship level having placed 2^nd and 3^rd in 1996-7.

More recently, she has taken these skills, into a development program overseen by the City Council, which sees Munifa instructing karate skills to previously disadvantaged children and adults.

Her karate skills have also seen her do movie and stunt work.

 Munifa is an active yoga practitioner which led to her involvement at the Brave Foundation, a non-profit organisation focused on using physical therapy to assist people recovering from trauma.

 These points bear out Munifa’s love for helping and serving others. This affinity and passion naturally fits with MOTB’s values. Munifa has been a consistent member of the team, whilst her business skills and understanding have slowly developed through her time here.
