Emily Robertson

With a First Class Honours Degree in Creative Expressive Therapies, Emily’s work and studies have taken her all over the world, including Brazil, Vietnam and South Africa.

In compliment to her NGO work in South Africa for Mother Tongue, an organisation that facilitates healing and transformation through the use of art methodologies, Emily has chosen to spend time on the MOTB/ HuHo Program, furthering her business skills and experience.

 Emily has also spent time consulting to the development of the HuHo Apprentice Program, as we develop the program and increase our student base.

 Capable, mature, results orientated, open-minded, self managing are just some of the qualities that describe Emily. Her strong communication skills, lateral thinking ability and interpersonal skills give her the ability to adapt and execute in diverse and dynamic situations, just like those at MASSAGE ON THE BEACH.

 Yet, Emily also brings a passion for people, a humility, sensitivity and kindness that resonates throughout the whole team. In her words, Emily says, “any approach to viewing the human as a whole is central to who I am and what I strive to achieve”.

By her nature, Emily interweaves British and Xhosa culture, her bare-beaded feet often getting her confused as a Sangoma.

 As an apprentice at MOTB, Emily relishes sharpening her business skills, whilst massaging on some of the worlds beautiful beaches. “It brings a cheeky and contented grin to my sun blushed cheeks” she says.

 Constantly motivated to learn and grow, Emily is a highly committed and motivated member of MOTB. She brings a freshness, positive energy and sensitivity to her work and the team as a whole. Her attention to detail defines the quality we expect from our staff.
