Access Routes

Camps Bay has only 3 access routes (unless you arrive by yacht!)

The two main ones are from the city over Kloof Nek Rd, or via the Beach Rd (Victoria Rd) that hugs the coast line all the way through the Atlantic seaboard to town. A third access is via the same Beach Road from the Hout Bay and Llandudno side, in the reverse direction.
Look out for our free community map at shops in Camps Bay. You can also get it from us, direct, at our gazebo’s.

During the intense local season (16th Dec to 1st week Jan) and on busy days (Sundays especially), we recommend you come over the Kloof Nek early before 1030am , i.e. not using the Beach Road.
Be warned, on Beach Rd once you are jammed in from Bantry Bay, there’s no exit till Camps Bay. It’s not uncommon in hot summer days to be stuck for an hour to move 1km. – and you can imagine how much fun that is.
